When you can cancel an order
You can cancel an order yourself while its status is still pending or confirmed. Those are the first two stages an order passes through, and the status is shown on the order itself. Once it moves past confirmed, the order is being prepared for dispatch and the option to cancel is withdrawn.
Cancelling costs nothing. There is no cancellation fee at any stage, and nothing is held back from a refund.
When an order is cancelled, the stock it was holding is released and goes back on sale. A cancelled order cannot be reinstated, so if you change your mind again, place a new order at whatever price and availability the catalogue shows at that moment.
How to cancel
If you ordered with a registered account, sign in, open the order in your account and use the cancel option there. It takes effect immediately and the status changes to cancelled.
If you ordered as a guest, or the cancel option is no longer showing, contact us. Email wbwarehouses@gmail.com or call +971 56 494 7977. Quote the order number and the email address used on the order so that we can find it quickly.
Where you can, put the request in writing. It gives both of us a record of what was asked for and when, which matters when an order is close to dispatch.
Unpaid card orders are cancelled after 60 minutes
Card payments are made on a payment page hosted by Mamo, our payment provider. If you place a card order and the payment is not completed, the order is cancelled automatically 60 minutes after it was placed and the stock is released.
This is not a penalty. Nothing is charged, no fee applies and it does not count against you in any way. The 60 minutes exist so that stock is not held back from other buyers by orders that were never paid for. If you were interrupted, or the payment page expired, simply place the order again.
If you think the payment did go through but the order still shows as cancelled, contact us with the order number and the payment reference from your card statement. We will check it and put it right.
Cash on delivery orders are not affected by this. Nothing is paid up front, so they are never cancelled automatically, and they stay open until you cancel them or we do.
Once an order has been dispatched
A dispatched order cannot be cancelled. The goods are with a carrier by then, and the matter becomes a return rather than a cancellation.
Returns are arranged with us directly. There is no automatic returns process on the site, so contact us before you refuse a delivery or send anything back, and let us agree what is happening first. Much of the catalogue is heavy freight equipment, and moving it back is not a small job.
If a return is agreed and money is due back to you, it is handled in the same way as any other refund, described below.
Made to order and custom items
Some equipment is built, finished or configured to your order rather than taken from stock. Where that is the case, the order can be cancelled up to the point production starts. After that we cannot cancel it, because the item is being made for you and cannot go back on the shelf.
If an item is made to order, we will say so before you commit to it, and we will tell you when production is about to begin, so that you have a clear last point at which to change your mind.
This applies only to items we have identified to you as made to order. Everything else is treated as a normal stock order under the rules above.
Changing an order instead of cancelling it
An order cannot be edited once it is placed, and cancellation is all or nothing: the whole order goes, not one line of it. To change a quantity, swap an item or correct a delivery address, cancel while you still can and order again, or contact us and we will see what can be done.
One thing to watch when you reorder: a 5% discount is applied automatically when an order contains more than 10 units in total. If you reorder with fewer units, or split one order into two smaller ones, that discount may no longer apply. There is no discount code that can be added afterwards to make up the difference.
Refunds on a cancelled order
If you paid by card and the order is cancelled before dispatch, the money is returned to you in full. There is no restocking charge and no deduction.
Refunds are arranged by hand. There is no button on the site that issues one, so a refund always involves a person here. If a paid order has been cancelled and not refunded, contact us with the order number, and we will confirm the amount and the method before it is sent.
Prices on this site are in US dollars and refunds are made in US dollars. If your bank converted the payment into another currency, the amount that comes back may differ slightly from the amount that left, because the exchange rate will have moved in between. That difference is your bank's, not a deduction by us.
A cash on delivery order is not paid until the goods arrive, so cancelling one leaves nothing to refund.
When we cancel an order
We may cancel an order we cannot fulfil. The usual reasons are a price shown incorrectly on the site, stock that turns out not to be genuinely available, a delivery address we cannot ship equipment to, or an order we cannot confirm because we cannot reach you.
We will tell you the reason, at the email address on the order, rather than let the order go quiet. If you have already paid, it is refunded in full.
You will never be charged a different price from the one you agreed. If a price was wrong, we cancel and refund, and you are free to order again at the corrected price or to leave it.
Stock is reserved the moment an order is placed, so selling the same item twice is unusual. It can still happen if an item is damaged in the warehouse or withdrawn by the supplier, and it is fairer to tell you than to keep an order open for something that is not coming.
